Pittosporum Tenuifolium ‘Bannow Bay’

Pittosporums are arguably one of the most handsome of evergreen shrubs, densely clothed in fine, wavy-edged leaves that come in a variety of purples and creamy variegations. With Pittosporum ‘Bannow Bay’ you don’t have to choose between them because it delivers both colours! This colour-changing shrub begins the season with light green foliage with a cream edge, takes on pink tones during late summer, and then transforms into glossy burgundy after the first frosts. Densely bushy and dwarf, this slow-growing evergreen forms a tight mound that requires little trimming to keep its naturally rounded shape. This makes it perfect as an alternative to box for topiary or low hedging – without the worry over box blight or box moth caterpillar.
