Erica Carnea

A low-growing, evergreen shrub, Erica carnea provides excellent groundcover. Its lateral, spreading growth easily colonises dry banks and walls and provides all-year-round texture and colour at the front of borders. Mats of needle-like, green foliage produce masses of small pink flowers from early to mid spring, providing a rich source of nectar for pollinating insects. Its petite size makes it ideal for small gardens and courtyards or planted into a patio trough. Height: 15cm (6″). Spread: 45cm (18″).
